Project Power

Project Power from the American Diabetes Association® is a diabetes lifestyle change program for adults 18+ that raises diabetes awareness and offers risk reduction education for people at risk for and living with type 2 diabetes.

It is also a program for youth ages 5 to 12 to slow the trajectory of childhood obesity and lower their risk for type 2 diabetes and its complications through health promotion, nutrition education, increased physical activity, and family involvement.

Big Dreams Youth Summer Experience

6-week journey through July and August and safe haven for learning and growth. Our program focuses on health, fitness, and combating summer learning loss, with over 80% of participants improving their literacy levels from financial literacy, to invigorating hikes, and thrilling field trips, there's something for every young mind to explore and enjoy. Additional contacts are offered in Spring and Winter.

Dream Beyond After School
Ages 12-14

Transform your after-school experience with Dream Beyond! Elevate athletic skills, excel academically over 5 months with transportation, top-tier athletic training, nutrition guidance, tutoring, and college exposure. Reach new heights with Dream Beyond!

We Run Together Family Fun and Health

We Run Together Family Fun Run & Health Event, organized by BFIT Big Dreams Youth Inc., promotes health and builds community. This annual event brings together families, vendors, non-profits, and healthcare professionals to encourage healthy living and community engagement. Highlights include a non-competitive family fun run, diverse health and wellness vendors, local non-profits offering support, healthcare professionals discussing vital health topics, and interactive activities for all ages. Families receive valuable resources and can connect with others, fostering a supportive community. Join us to improve health, access resources, and strengthen community bonds.

Strong African American Families (SAAF) Program

Strong African American Families

is a evidenced based family interactive workshop delivered once a week for 7 weeks. For youth between the ages of 10-14 accompanied with a parent/caregiver.

Positive Results for Youth:

• Increased awareness of and focus on future goals

• Increased acceptance of parental influence

• Postponement of sexual involvement
